Who Will Die in Stranger Things

The wait has finally come to an end: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 is officially in making. Disney+ posted some BTS (Behind the Scenes) from the sets, making fans go crazy. While the photos didn’t reveal much about the storyline, it did confirm one thing: the demigod adventures are far from over.
The Emmy-winning series was renewed for Season 3 on March 14, while Season 2 is set to release in December 2025. The actors have earlier confirmed that they will start filming for season 3 even before Season 2 release. Now Percy Jackson Season 3 is officially in production as of Friday, August 8.
Here is everything you need to know about Percy Jackson Season 3.
A few days back, Disney+ revealed that production on Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 has officially begun. The new season will be based on book three of Riordan’s Percy Jackson franchise, The Titan’s Curse.
The creators announced on Instagram by sharing a photo of Scobell holding a clapperboard and smiling on set. The caption reads: “A new era begins – #PercyJackson and the Olympians Season 3 is now in production!”
Percy Jackson season 2 is scheduled to premiere in December 2025, marking a two-year gap since season 1 came out on December 19, 2023.
The delay was largely due to the writers’ and actors’ strike, which slowed down production. However, the gap between season 2 and 3 is expected to be shorter, as the filming for 3rd installment has already begun.
Although Disney+ has not announced a release date for Season 3, it will likely arrive in the last quarter of 2026, possibly again in December, following the same pattern as the first two seasons.
Earlier at the 2025 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards, Walker Scobell expressed his excitement about the renewal. The actor, who was nominated for his performance, said, “It’s insane to think about. We’re going to be filming Season 3 before Season 2 comes out.”
The first season introduced the audience to Percy, Annabeth, and Grover and their journey. Season 2 seems to deliver bigger, raising the risks, deeper character growth, and a more precise connection with the gods’ tangled web of politics.
Now, all eyes are on Season 3. If Disney+ continues following Rick Riordan’s original book order, the upcoming season will adapt The Titan’s Curse. This story elevates the levels of danger and presents characters of fans that are loved the most, like Thalia Grace.
Viewers around the world are already curious and making tons of assumptions about the iconic scenes:
Here are some of the spicy assumptions and theories made up by fans on social media.
One trending fan theory suggests Zoe Nightshade’s storyline could be expanded, giving her more screen time and emotional weight to make her arc even more impactful.
While Seasons 1 and 2 focused on building Percy’s world, Season 3 may be the true test of the franchise’s strength. It is likely there will be more stories at the backend for side characters, or a sneak peek at strings that are not going to be exposed until the next season is released.
Imagine if we saw early hints of Racheal Elizabeth Dare, even though her book debut comes later. It will be a similar approach to the Harry Potter series, as this could set the stage for bigger payoffs down the line.
If handled right, The Titan’s Curse could transform Percy Jackson into a cultural phenomenon on par with shows like Stranger Things. Netflix series will wrap up with season 5, which is set to premiere in December 2025.
